My suggestion is adding a skill, that's some like this:

"Backhand Power"
Enchantment spell. Changes your sword backwords. You attack 25% faster, but deal 25% less damage.

Great for some builds, and stil gives you the same effect

i actually had that same idea , but not an enchantment since the warrior proffesion dons'nt have spells :P

I'd say make it open to all who wish to use it. Like say when the enchantment thing but have CE(constant effect. ahh morrowind memoreis) So like what the one guy said.

I agree on the stance but make it 5 energy and pretty long duration. Something around 30 sec at LEAST. Otherwise make it a ritualist weapon spell. This would bring up the amount of W/Ri and lower the W/Mos.

And if they add backhand swords it just begs for swordholders in the off-hand. And then they have some effect like +dmg for swords but no/few extra defence.

This would give sword warriors some more coolness and power. Axes are overrated.

Tengu Stance:

Stance: For 9 seconds, while holding a sword, you hold it backwards like a Tengu. Your attack speed increases by 25% and your damage decreases by 25%. This stance ends early if anyone in your party ate fried chicken in the last 24 hours. ^_~

i'd be happy if they just made it the same as flury since i use that most the time
